In an interview with The British Continental, Bob Lyons (Team boss and founder of Alba RT) said “The focus was in the wrong place for rider development, and quite often, riders got pushed to one side where they should be front and centre. They should be the centre of everything. It’s not an ego trip for a team owner, it’s not just focused on the results. It’s ‘let’s get the rider in the right place and give them the best chance to develop and make that next step.”

Alba’s Eilidh Shaw sealed the 2024 National Circuit Series Championship, consolidating on a strong performance all year, and will ride for Great Britain at the Tour de l’Avenir Femmes.

The four stages of the UCI Women’s World Tour race are renowned for huge crowds and action-packed racing. Impsport were honoured to support Finish Line RT on their debut at the Tour of Britain Women. The team faced significant challenges before the race but excelled, winning two combativity awards: Lucy Harris on her first ride for the team, and Jo Tindley on stage three.

The Lincoln GP is characterised by its ascent of Michaelgate, an iconic cobbled climb up to the Cathedral quarter, with a maximum gradient of 20%.

After the race, team rider Zoe said “The heat through the climb took it’s toll and I had to chase back on each of the next few laps. I stuck in though and was on my own for a bit, battling the climb, and eventually we formed a big group and worked together. Overall I’m pretty happy, it was a lot, lot harder than last year, looking at my stats, my power output, it was so much harder so I can be happy.”
